Sterling was asked to sing in sacrament meeting the Sunday after Christmas. He had wanted to do this song for a while, but he felt like the message could be expanded to make the song even more focused on the Savior and His atonement. He wrote these additional verses, and then I took some inspiration from Sally Deford and Marshall McDonald to make the arrangement for piano.
